Hi! Today I am sharing the Nine Leaf Grateful “Picture” Page I made a couple years ago. I still love it; and, want to share how you can update it to use our current products. They would probably make it even better! The original page was a stamp club project.
In this original page, I used a retired leaf die and the retired spider web embossing folder (to give the impression of leaf veins). Today, you can use the Vintage Leaves Stamp Set (Item $138802 for $26.00- photopolymer) with the Leaflets Framelits (item #138283 for $25.00). Using one color cardstock and another color ink would make it look even more realistic and Fall like.
Scrap strips of old olive cardstock, with “faux stitching” put on with our markers, divides the page into nine sections. Each section is relatively evenly spaced. In the absence of scraps, you could use one of our 1/8″ or 1/4″ ribbons found on pages 158 and 159 of the Annual Catalog. You might also consider the blackberry bliss ribbon on page 43 of the Holiday Catalog. Another fun idea would be some of our washi tape, either from the Annual Catalog; or, the Holiday Catalog.
For the buttons you could use the designer buttons on page 161 of the Annual Catalog. Another idea, would be the “Into the Woods Elements” on page 43 of the Holiday Catalog. What about doing something cute with the “Acorny Thank You Stamp Set” and “Acorn Builder Punch?” How fun would that be?
This sentiment is from a retired Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set. You could substitute sentiments from “Lighthearted Leaves,” “Acorny Thank You,” and “A Little Something” from the Holiday Catalog. Stamp Sets with appropriate sentiments from the Annual Catalog would be, “And Many More,” “Another Thank You,” Me = Grateful,” “Something to Say,” and “For All Things.” I may have missed some; but, you get the idea. You can use your markers to mark partial words or phrases to stamp on your leaves. Just make sure that your word(s) will fit on the leaf.
Both verses I used came from retired stamp sets. However, you could use the verses from Trust God Stamp Set. You could also find pictures of things you are thankful for and use those stamp sets.
Another fun idea would be to put a person’s picture in the center; and, stamp pictures, or phrases, of why you are thankful for that person. You could also hand write the reasons, or phrases. This would make a super special place setting gift for those at your Thanksgiving table!
I hope this has given you some helpful ideas. It would be awesome to see what you have done with these ideas; and, to see your creations! Remember, my store is open 24/7. See shopping above or the shop now button on the side bar.
Coming soon! I am working on a page with cards, projects, and scrapbook pages of some of my pre-designed items for sale.
Finally, I would like to let the people of Paris know that we are praying for you; and, our hearts go out to you. We mourn for those of you who have lost loved ones. May God wrap His comforting arms around you; and, help you to remember the happy times with your loved one. To those in this country, I pray that you can thank God that we have it as good as we do! We are so blessed. My son’ was telling me yesterday that there is talk of re-instating the draft here in this country so that we can send the full force of our military to aid France, our ally. He was approached by military and non-military wanting him. If that does happen, I do pray for those of you here, whose son’s will be heading to the Middle East. Our world is changing and I pray for the leaders of the world, that they might use wisdom and courage to do that which is right; and, that which is according to God’s will.
Happy Stampin’ and Scrappin’, Paula
