Hi! Before I get started, I wanted to say that I am sorry I am a bit behind. We have had a couple days of pretty bad storms and it really set my fibromyalgia off. However, I am doing better today. So, today’s post is for the SUO Challenge #133: Pocket Projects. SUO stands for Stampin’ Up! Only and that means all products used in your project must be from Stampin’ Up! This challenge is actually called Pocket Cards; but, you can use any project that uses pockets. So here is my entry…
This is a 12″ x 12″ scrapbook page that will go in my nephew’s wedding album. He is getting married a couple days before Christmas. I used mossy meadows cardstock for my background and the designer patterned paper is Home for Christmas from the Holiday Catalog. I also used whisper white and real red cardstock. The letters are die cut from a retired alphabet. The hearts are cut from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Pearls are used instead of a question mark; and, for a period on the writing.
These pockets are stamped; and then, fussy cut from the retired stamp set, Pocket Fun (a favorite of mine). They can list some of the things they love about each other on the tags. The green bow on the right pocket is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. A Pearl is in the center of the bow. Heart eyelets are retired. I used mossy meadow and real red ink to stamp the pockets; and, the same markers to write the wording. The tags are 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ and I used a handheld 1/8″ Circle Punch to make the hole for the ribbon. Corners are rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder. Red ribbon is retired; and, the 1/8″ silver ribbon is in the Annual Catalog, as is the silver thread. Pockets are attached with Tear and Tape.
The Mini Treat Bag Thinlits were used to make these pockets; and, are so they can write a “love letter” to each other, on the decorated tag. They can also put their picture on the front. The heart border and the for you are made with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Initials are die cut from a retired alphabet. Pockets are attached to the page, and put together, with Fast Fuse.
These tags measure 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and are inside the large pockets. I used the Project Life Corner Rounder on the corners. Edges are sponged with mossy meadow and real red Classic Ink. Bells are from the retired Bells and Boughs Stamp Set . Aren’t they perfect for a December Wedding? Leaves are colored in with Pear Pizzazz and Almost Artichoke, Berries are Real Red (so is the lines on the bells) Markers. I used a smokey slate marker on the ribbon (and a Project Life Journaling Pen on the left one). While you can’t tell from the picture, there are many of the tiny pearls on the bell between the red lines and a medium sized one for the ringer. I used 1/8″ silver ribbon on the tags.
